About Golden Gourami

Golden Gourami

Trichogaster trichopterus

Golden Gouramis are very attractive and hardy fish. They are generally peaceful and suitable for community aquariums. Occasionally, males can become aggressive toward other similar-sized, colourful fish, that they mistake for other males.

Gouramis are air breathers and need good access to the water surface. The can gain oxygen by taking mouthfuls of air into their Labyrinth. They benefit from a generously planted aquarium and enjoy regular water changes.

They are omnivores who benefit from a varied diet. They enjoy Tropical Flake Food, Algae Wafers and Spirulina Flakes.

Unfortunately my beautiful golden garamo didn’t survive. He was alive on delivery and my other Paradise fish is doing well but was disappointed unfortunately this morning had to bury him. I have bought other fish here online so was impressed with the other fish as they always great, just unfortunate this guy didn’t continue. Just to note he’s the only fish that died in my whole 3ft tank, and it’s got perfectly good parameters as I tested regularly

I recently ordered Golden Gourami online from The Fish Farm, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From browsing their website to the moment the package arrived, everything was smooth, professional, and clearly done with care for the animals.

The ordering process was simple, with clear product descriptions and helpful info about snail care. Shipping was fast, and the snails were packed incredibly well – secure, temperature-stable, and with enough oxygen to ensure they arrived happy and healthy.
