3 Spot Gourami

Trichogaster trichopterus

3-Spot Gouramis are very attractive fish. They are generally peaceful and suitable for community aquariums. Occasionally, males can become aggressive toward other similar-sized, colourful fish, that they mistake for other males. 

Gouramis are air breathers and need good access to the water surface. The can gain oxygen by taking mouthfuls of air into their Labyrinth. They benefit from a generously planted aquarium and enjoy regular water changes. 

They are omnivores who benefit from a varied diet. They enjoy Tropical Flake Food, Algae Wafers and Spirulina Flakes.
