Ramshorn snails are a hardy coldwater variety, popular in the pet industry. They can adapt to a range of water conditions and are perfect for cycling a new aquarium.

They are unusual because they have a planispiral shell i.e. their shell is a flat spiral and resembles a ramshorn. They eat algae, detritus, and dead plant matter. They will clean up uneaten food and decaying matter in your aquarium, helping to keep it clean. 

Snails will naturally forage in the aquarium for food and they also enjoy Pisces Algae Wafers, Snail and Shrimp Spirulina blocks and benefit from the calcium in Snail and Shrimp Shells.
